Fatal Blow

Dear Readers,

Please forgive my absence. I was caught up in the holidays and did do a bit of writing only to discover that my Word program was a trial copy and expired and all of my documents are currently locked. This computer was a going away present for my trip at sea but apparently it was booby trapped to fail two months into my contract with three months to go. Who does that!?! Whatevs, I shall do my best to caught you up while I am in port but as I am crunched for time and can no longer pre-edit, you will have to forgive any slip-ups or typos. So, let's see, where did I leave off? Oh yes, my first week on board. Well, I've now been at sea two months and as always seems to happen, my professional life is sailing along (forgive the pun) and my personal life is once again falling apart. I don't know if it is karma or just the balance of the universe that the two shall never be in equal parts great or even in equal parts good.

I suppose I still have to fill you in on the fact that I've had a personal life. Yes, I have, for a while now. Long story to follow but suffice to say, it was lovely while it lasted but I think perhaps we are in the twilight time of what was a wonderful venture. But first, Mr. Darcy...
